ADOPTION CAMPAIGNS

Several adoption campaigns are launched throughout the year where the public can adopt a pet by paying an adoption fee of €25,00. This adoption fee includes a free visit to the vet, the first vaccination shot, the first deworming, micro chip identification and neutering.

All adoptable dogs are kept in the municipal kennels. The Funchal municipality entrusted our association with the complete management of the kennels, in accordance with our own policies, whilst the municipality assumes all costs involved. Subsidies are paid against monthly invoices and the amount is variable according to number of dogs taken in and prepared for adoption or those being euthanised in accordance with our regulations as explained on our home page.
